For sale: a 1970s Univox Ripper U1850 in a classic White finish, made in Japan at the legendary Matsumoku factory. Univox guitars gained fame in the grunge scene, with Kurt Cobain known for playing Univox models early in his career. With a 1.68” nut width, comfortable neck profile (0.88” at the 1st fret, 0.92” at the 12th), and original frets in great condition, it’s built for both collectors and players. Weighing 9lbs, it has a solid feel and unmistakable vintage character. In very good condition with moderate playwear and slight lifting on the middle and bridge pickup rings (see photos).
