We know if the guitar you're selling is a rare unicorn, if it's in need of repairs, or if the originality makes it a higher price point. And we don't hide any of this from you. We pride ourselves in our transparent buying process and will give you top-dollar for your used guitars and gear.

Bring your gear to one of our three locations or give us a call to schedule a time for us to come to you.
We'll look over your gear for condition, originality, and rarity and discuss a fair price.
We'll pay you and take your guitar off your hands.
Not in SoCal? No problem- you can still sell your guitar to Imperial Vintage.
Fill out the form below or give us a call at 818-981-1614 and we'll quote you a purchase price range.
We'll send you a prepaid shipping label and shipping box (if needed) and appraise your guitar in our shop for condition, originality, and rarity.
Once we agree on a fair price, we'll send you a payment in any form that is convenient (bank wire, Zelle, PayPal, etc.)

Well then, we love you. Because we love acquiring large guitar collections. We'll travel near and far in California to appraise your guitars, pay you top dollar, and load them into our van. And if you're a bit out of our travel range, then we'll gladly figure out a shipping arrangement so you can get your guitars to us so we can appraise your gear and send you payment. So if you've suddenly inherited old great-granddad's guitar collection and want to turn that into cash- we want to talk!
No problem! We have a luthier on site who will make all the repairs so you don't have to.
We put our decades of experience selling vintage guitars to use by looking at comparable sales while keeping in mind the condition of the guitar, the originality, and the rarity of your gear. The better the condition, the more original the guitar's hardware, and the rarer the guitar, the higher the price.
Sites like Reverb and eBay are full of guitars for sale at outrageous prices. But that doesn't mean those guitars are selling. We know the market and we know what's selling and what's just ridiculous.
