The 2012 Gibson Custom Kirk Hammett Flying V is a limited-edition replica of Hammett’s iconic 1979 V, a key instrument in Metallica’s early thrash era. Built with a one-piece mahogany body and neck, it features EMG 81 and H active pickups, delivering aggressive, high-output tones. The guitar sports a sleek aged ebony finish, chrome hardware, and a white 4-ply pickguard. Only 150 were made—100 aged and 50 signed by Hammett—making it highly collectible. With its classic Flying V shape, custom appointments, and faithful wear replication, it’s a powerful homage to a metal legend’s formative sound and style.
